La población Española: 1981
Hace mucho tiempo que no actualizamos este blog, pero aunque ya haya pasado el 25 aniversario del año 1981, intentaremos, en función de nuestro tiempo disponible (sobra decir que escaso), ir aportando nuevas contribuciones al blog, como esta: Dos gráficos ( aportados por el wikipedista Rodriguillo, al que damos las gracias) que nos hablan de como evolucionó la población española entre 1950 y 1981 y entre 1981 y 2005.
Un aspecto, el de la población, al que apenas habíamos dedicado atención en la página y que merece una especial mención puesto que es en torno a 1981 cuando en España se completa el proceso de transición demográfica pasando en veinte años de tasas de natalidad y fertilidad aún bastante elevadas para los países desarrollados a otras muy semejantes e incluso inferiores a los países de Europa occidental.
En los gráficos también puede apreciarse la fuerte incidencia del éxodo rural y también de la emigración hacía los países del centro de Europa que hacía que hasta 1981 determinados núcleos industriales y de servicios como Madrid, Barcelona o el País Vasco crecieran a un ritmo muy elevado mientras que muchas provincias de economía eminentemente agraria perdieran población, no por la reducción de sus índices de natalidad, sino por el masivo éxodo hacía regiones en las que fuese posible encontrar un trabajo mejor, pese a que el fenómeno del éxodo rural se ha atenuado notablemente en las dos últimas décadas, aún se pueden observar provincias que padecen crecimiento negativo como consecuencia de un progresivo envejecimiento de la población por la salida masiva de jóvenes hacia regiones con mayor capacidad de generación de empleo industrial y terciario.
En 1981 también se llevó a cabo un nuevo censo que arrojó una cifra de 37.683.362 habitantes, siendo las provincias más pobladas Madrid y Barcelona con 4.687.083 y 4.623.362 habitantes respectivamente y las menos pobladas, además de Ceuta y Melilla, Soria y Guadalajara con 100.719 y 143.473 personas.
